Eastwood has a number of Landmarks. The buildings of housing estates, consisting of some 300 terraced miner’s cottage, were built in 1860s. That was saved from demolition by the council scheme, which won the EEC habitat award in 1977. It is used to illustrate the European Community’s Urban Renaissance competition in 1980. St Mary’s Parish Church is a religious site, which has an open evangelical style of worship. There is another Church on the site since 1250, it remains of the original structure, and it was enlarged in 1826.

Eastwood takes place in sports like Foot Ball known as the Badgers in the Northern Premier League. Eastwood Cricket Club plays in Gunn and Moore South Notts League. Eastwood developed the Gilt Brook retail park 1.5 miles from south to west of Eastwood. Collieries Male Voice Choir was formed in 1919. It once appeared on BBC in 1963. This is one of the oldest surviving colliery choirs in the UK. Beauvale Priory is one of the nine English houses founded in 1343.
