Royal Gunpowder Mills
This is a natural park, on 175 acres of land; it also has 21 buildings which showcase some fascinating historical facts, and also scientific facts. The surroundings here are beautiful, which will take all the visitors in a magical world. The place is a must visit for all young and old alike. The park was setup in the 17th century. The place is has a lot of importance in the history of Great Britain.
North Weald Airfield Museum and Memorial
As the name suggests it’s a memorial to the famous Britain fighter squad, RAF North Weald. The museum is placed at the entrance of the Battle of Britain fighter base. It is adjacently placed to the airfield, which is still in use. Here the visitors can have a look at the seasoned and the classic aircrafts like, Invader, Spitfire, Vampire, Dakotas, Jet Provosts, Mustang and Yaks.
Blake Hall Gardens and Museum
During the World War 2, the fine 17th century house was utilized as a RAF operations Centre for sector E, it was a replacement to the facility which had been bombed out. The room, which is popular as the OPS room, has been renovated and serves as an exceptional attraction. The gardens are also open for the public to visit.
