Tourist Guide Exeter
Exeter, also known as the ‘West country’, is located in Devon County, England. Situated on the border of the Exe River, it has a population of about 120,000 inhabitants. Exeter is a city rich in its history and is a central base for education, economy and religion in the county.
The climate in Exeter is mild in nature with humidity being a dominant factor. Summers are warm and long whereas winters are fairly mild. High annual precipitation is experienced in this region.
Historically, Exeter was a rich architectural site, prior to the bombings of 1942. However, the city was reconstructed and all its major buildings were restored. Today, the city has strong industries with the MET office situated here, giving a boost to the local economy.
