The Cavern Club is a night club and the bar was started 10 years ago primarily as a platform for new underground bands. This is a popular venue for live punk, Indie and underground dance music.There are some great underground DJ acts including Afrika Bambaataa, The Scratch Peverts, Andy Cato from Groove Armada, Ed Rush and Optical. This club promoted bands like FUGAZI, HOLE, and VERBAL ASSUAULT at various venues under the monicker HOMSTOWN ATROCITIES.
