Fakenham Museum of Gas and Local History gives information on how coal was produced including displays of lighting, cookers, water heaters, gas meters and other equipment used to maintain the gas supply.
Another section of the museum also covers the history of the town including horse racing, sports, the printing industry and war time memorabilia with the armed forces.
The Fakenham Race Course hosts regular racing events and firework displays in the month of November.
The Thursford Collection is a museum which displays old steam engines, tractors and the mighty Wurlitzer, which is the 4th largest cinema organ on the continent.
