Glastonbury is a small town in Somerset which becomes crowded on rainy days. Not just the weather, but the historical myths of the town also attract enormous numbers of tourists.

This sparsely populated town is inhabited by approximately 8,800 people. This town has received recognition as one of the spiritual sanctuaries of England. The town possesses a colourful blend of rich heritage and modern beauty. Glastonbury has a unique character which attracts tourists and pilgrims from all over the world.

The people here make their living by working in small industries. Others are self employed in the retail and tourism sector. The town is a cosmopolitan city, but is not as big. The town is situated on the Avalon, which was once an island.
