Why should the adults just have all the fun? Joyland was specifically built with the youngsters in mind as a place where children can have great, recreational fun. The popular theme park first opened in 1949 by a local Great Yarmouth family.
Some of its original rides, such as the “Snails” and “Tubs” are still popular with this kiddos and in operation today. Although there is a small selection of rides, it does keep the younger family members entertained, but don’t expect to make this a full-day field trip, as a few hours time should suffice.
In addition to all of the rides and games, Joyland also has an American-themed diner that opened in 2003 and is situated adjacent to the theme park. The diner overlooks the Anchor Gardens as well as Great Yarmouth’s beaches. The diner can accommodate 50 people and is fully licensed with take out options next to the promenade during the summer months as well.
The Joyland Theme Park is open everyday from 11:00am to late evening. For more information, call 01493 854 062.
