Shibden Hall can be described as one of the historic houses located in Halifax. It can be dated back to the year 1420; when there were reports of it being occupied by William Oates. The gardens and parks are presently undergoing restoration. It would cost around 7 million pounds on the whole. Main features are inclusive of terraced gardens, cascades, rock gardens, and boating lake that had been commissioned in 1830s by none other than Anne Lister.
