The Royal National Rose Garden covers more than 5 acres of land and includes eight thousand roses with two thousand varieties. This gives us a veritable living dictionary of roses. There is a maze, several gardens, a historic collection of roses, refreshment facilities, disabled access and more.

Verulamium Museum contains the displays and activities of everyday life of Roman Britain and has discovery areas, touch screen database, excavation videos, recreated Roman rooms and more.

The museum is situated near the Roman Theatre amidst attractive parkland.

St. Albans Cathedral is a parish church and is built on the site of the martyrdom of Saint Alban. The centre of the cathedral has the shrine to Saint Alban, a Roman citizen, who was persecuted because of his belief in Christ.

This shrine is today a national pilgrimage centre and people come here for meditation and prayer. The cathedral is built on a hill which overlooks the beautiful valley of the Ver River
