The Muiredach’s Cross is the most famous cross amongst the entire crosses in the town of High Cross. It is around 21feet high. It also has the distinctive ring which is a symbol of the strength and arms of the town. The ring has been recently added to the new cross just as an attractive feature of the cross. The cross represents the strength of its owner who erected it and as it is the highest, the owner is also considered to be the most powerful person in the town.
