Isfield lies to the north west of Lewes in the Wealden district of East Sussex in England.

The town is sparsely populated with 477 people and comprises of 1,822 acres of land out of which 508 are permanent pastures, 771 is arable land, 40 is used for hop plantation and 503 is woodland.

The local economy is dependant on coal, chalk, marl, paper manufacturing and other commodities. St. Margaret’s church situated in the town is a splendid place of worship with the tomb of Sir John Shirley.

The Ouse River is fed by many forest streams and features a varied pool system rich in wildlife. The Sussex Ouse Conservation Society is doing a lot to conserve the natural habitat here. Being in the south east of England the county experiences a dry and sunny climate.
