The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a heritage railway which passes through five and a half miles of countryside. The railway is run and owned by the Isle of Wight Railway Co.Ltd. The oldest locomotive dates back to 1876 and carriages date back to 1864. The major locomotives that are in use even today include Newport, Freshwater and Calbourne. The Island Steam Show displays various kinds of steam power along with other attractions.
