Things to Do in Lastingham, England: attractions to See in Lastingham

Lastingham: Attractions and more...

The Lastingham region has a low number of attractions. However, some of the historical monuments attract lots of tourists.

The area can be visited to see the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Lastingham is a typical English village where one can experience real rural life. There are several churches in the village that belong to the initial period of Christianity in Northern England.

The National Park has a large number of animal and bird species. This is the best place to explore nature in England.

Besides visiting historical buildings and the National Park, tourists can visit nearby places as well. For instance, the Beck Isle Museum of Rural Life located on Bridge Street holds a large collection of antiques and historical items. Some of them are more than 200 years old.

The North Yorkshire Moor Railway passes through the North Yorkshire Moor National Park.

Travellers can view the magnificent surroundings from the trains. The railway runs between Grosmont village and Pickering town. The steam engine of this line reminds one of the olden days of railways.
