In 1916 the famous artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant built the Charleston a place exhibiting the various forms of house decoration schemes. Charleston is the country meeting place for artists, writers and various speakers and intellectuals. The rooms which are on show form an example of the decorative art of the artists. On every Friday there is an exceptional themed tour called 'Sisters' which includes the rooms for show that are not open for the public.
