London City Airport is situated opposite the Regatta Centre in London in the Borough of Newham in East London.
It is the 5th largest international airport in London and has a plan of phased expansion to accommodate a maximum passenger capacity of 8 million people per year without an additional runway.
At present the airport is small when compared to the other four international airports in London, however, it is widely accessed by both leisure as well as business travellers from London’s docklands.
In 2005 the airport was named by the European Business Air News as the ‘Best corporate aviation passenger handling facility in Europe’.
