The port of London is situated besides the banks of the River Thames. The port is the hub of water ways on Thames River.
It was an important economical center of London since the Saxon time. After its establishment in the 18th century, it became the world's busiest and most crowded port.
Cargos, cruise liners, small boats and ro- ro ferries are handled at the port. Due to the higher frequency and excellent service of the ships, cruises and boats on this port, enormous number of tourists visit the River Thames.
The private and commercial boats and cruises take passengers on a pleasure ride of the river. Apart from boating, visitors can enjoy various water sports in the river.They can also see the Thames Bridge by riding through the boat.
The port is the center of countless number of events. These are generally known as River Events. These events include boat racing, sailing match and the popular Thames festival.
The port is a beautiful and vital facet of London.
