The public transport and taxis of London are efficient and fast. Most of the locals use the underground as a faster method of transportation, to travel around the city.  This is a popular system, and the oldest of its kind in the world, running since 1860s.  Get an Oyster card to save queueing all the time to buy individual tickets - just pay a deposit and you are free to pay-as-you-go for the underground!

There is also a provision of bus services providing excellent services.  Throughout London, a common mode of getting around is through bus. These kinds of transportation are numbered, with the routes mentioned to key destinations indicated on the front of the bus. The services of bus are also offered during night time, and have ‘N’ sign at the bus stop or on the bus.  They take more getting used to than the metro, but are worth exploring if you want to get around the city fast!

Taxis are well-informed kind of transportation, where one can find this the most pleasurable method of transportation in London.  Have a chat with the driver - he may be able to give you tips even PlacesOnLine doesn't know about!!!!
