National Gallery
The National Gallery in London has a superb collection of paintings.
The National Gallery houses a collection of some of the best European paintings dating back to thirteenth century. The gallery is a haven for art lovers containing approximately 2,300 paintings. The collection includes famous works like Venus and Mars by Leonardo da Vinci, The Virgin of the Rocks by Michelangelo and several paintings by Velazquez, Sandro Botticelli and many other great artists.
Not only the collection but also the building makes the National Gallery a popular tourist attraction. The rooms and the ceilings are beautifully designed, and the building looks marvellous when it is illuminated at night.
