Long Stratton can be referred to as one of the civil parishes located in South Norfolk, in England’s eastern region, UK. It comprises of 2 hamlets- the bigger, i.e. Stratton St. Mary lies on the southern side; whereas the smaller one, i.e. Stratton St. Michael lies on the northern side. This village is located half-way, in between Norwich, i.e. regional capital, and Diss, i.e. a market town.
To be precise, Long Stratton lies along the ‘Roman’ constructed road; which was once called ‘Pye Street’. Right now, it is known by name ‘A140’; that happens to run between Cromer, i.e. North Borfolk and Ipswich, i.e. Suffolk.
5 other parishes are bordered by Long Stratton. They include Tasburgh, Wacton, Morning Thorpe, Pulham Market, and ‘Tharston and Hapton’.
The climate is quite cool. So, it’s advisable to visit this place during the summer season, i.e. between April and September.
