Since Looe is a coastal town, it is an ideal place to spend holidays and offer many attractions.
Travellers around the world visit this place to enjoy boating, water surfing and other water sports. The crystal clear and warm sea water is bordered with beautiful sandy beaches. Most of the attractions here in town are related to the beaches, seaside and harbours.
Looe Harbour Quay is a traditional fishing place. Many old style boats are gathered at one spot here. Visitors can use the boats or simply have look at them. Looe Island is a major tourist attraction in this town.
The small lonely island is located just off the shore. Once in year, the seawater experiences extremely low tide. Hence, one can easily walk to the island through water. The island is also known as the St. George Island.
The Old Guildhall is one of the oldest buildings of Looe. The hall is located in the East Looe. It dates back to 1500. It was used as the ‘Town Hall’ for many years, until the new Victorian Hall replaced it. Now the Guildhall is converted into a local museum.
