Lowestoft, easterly town was established as a fishing village in the early 14th century. Lowestoft is a town which is located in Suffolk, East Anglia. This town lies between the eastern edge of the Broads National Park at Oulton Broad and the North Sea.
The town of Lowestoft is divided in two by Lake Lothing, with both the north and south sides of the lake containing residential and business sectors. Lowestoft is located about 30 miles from Norwich and over 100 miles from London.
Lowestoft is home to two piers, which are situated on the south beach. It has a population of around 75,000 and is the second largest town in Suffolk County. In the 19th Century Lowestoft was one of the busiest ports. Lowestoft boasts of having the best beaches in Suffolk and they are much better than beaches located in Great Yarmouth.
Lowestoft has fine weather throughout the year. But the best time to visit is during the months of May and June.
