Lowestoft is a very popular destination with tourists. It is famous for its beautiful stretches of award wining beaches and rich maritime heritage. For this reason Lowestoft is considered as a perfect holiday spot for young people. Lowestoft has a mix of major family attractions, historical houses and miles of gardens with winding footpaths, cycle routes and an asset of indoor venues to suit all tastes.

In the heart of the town visitors can find the Yacht Marina and the neighbouring docks, which have been recently renovated. Lowestoft has three distinct shopping centres with the most popular chains of specialty shops.

Lowestoft most famous attraction is the New Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, which is located outside the town. Visitors also can visit Suffolk Wildlife Park. Another place mostly visited by the visitors is Oulton Broad. Visitors can hire motorboats to travel on the board. Powerboat racing is held here every Thursday. Another place of interest is The Broads National Park.
