Luton: Attractions and more...

A major landmark is the Wardown Park. Home to the famous Luton Museum, this lush park has various manicured gardens, sports activities, a play park and a serene lake. Although it is not completely accessible, the lake has a section where visitors can see swans, geese and ducks.

The Luton Museum and Art Gallery is a renowned store house of ethnic crafts, including samples of laces and hats. It also features an extensive collection of more than 500 hats, which is named the Women’s Hat Industry collection. Apart from that, exhibits of costumes and fine arts are also held here.

Visitors can revel in the largest one-day carnival in Europe, the Luton Carnival. This internationally famous event presents the essence of the city through music, dance, art workshops and other fun-filled activities.

The Wardown Park Museum houses a collection of artefacts that represents the various phases of development of Luton.
