Lytham St. Annes lies in the Flyde district of Lancashire in the North West of England.
This seaside resort has a huge population of 41,327 inhabitants most of whom are older people as the town is a popular place for retirement.
The economy depended on shrimp and other types of fishing in the past but with the industrial revolution and the advent of tourism there was a rapid influx of rich industrialist to the city.
The city is internationally known for golf and has a number of golf courses where various tournaments are held.
Being in a coastal region, the city experiences a humid climate and, whatever the weather, there is something for everyone to enjoy, from an assortment of amusements to swimming complexes and restaurants.
