The Urbis Centre is the most impressive structure of the new building: its external surface is covered with green glass, which creates a spectacular effect.
Urbis is basically a museum that exhibits various UK cities and their people. Unlike other museums, the Urbis centre starts its exhibition from the top floor down to the bottom. The funicular-shaped elevator first takes visitors to the fourth floor. Then slowly they are taken towards the third, second and finally the first floor: various aspects of the city are exhibited on different levels of the floor.
