The Laing Art Gallery has a wonderful permanent collection along with dynamic landscapes and sculptures produced by John Martin and Henry Moore respectively. The gallery is managed by Tyne & Wear Museums on behalf of the Newcastle City Council and has events and temporary exhibitions held all through the year. The museum has a café and a gift shop and is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
