North East England with an area of 8,592 sq km is home to a population of more than 2.5 million people.
North East England is one of the nine regions of England and comprises the areas of Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne-and-Wear and a part of North Yorkshire. The western part of the region consists of hills and mountains, while the eastern side opens out to the sea.
The North East is said to be the friendliest of all regions in England. The region has boasts of theatre, historical architecture and various music and art venues accompanied by culinary delights. With warm, hospitable people and a diverse landscape interspersed by rich natural heritage, visitors are guaranteed a taste of pure British living.
