The tetra style portico of Oldham’s Old Town Hall fascinates visitors.

The Blue Plaque outside the building commemorates the inaugural acceptance speech of Sir Winston Churchill in 1900.

Oldham’s War Memorial is a tribute to those killed in World War II. It is a bronze sculpture mounted on a granite base.

The monument symbolizes the courage shown during the war. The city also offers a number of museums exhibiting a lot of items including impressive paintings.

Some of the museums include the Oldham Museum and the Saddleworth Museum.

The Pennine moorland of Saddleworth offers walks for the enthusiastic visitor as well as country lanes for trouble free walking.

The area stretches into the Peak District National Park which provides an opportunity for water sports, climbing and rambling.

Other places to visit are the Civic Centre, the Parish Church and other sights.
