The Covered Market is situated to the north of High Street between the Turl Street and the Cornmarket Street. This market was started on 1st November 1774 and is a historic market in a covered structure with permanent stalls and shops in central Oxford. Most of the shops are food retailers with greengrocers, butchers, bakeries, snacks, gift shops and others. There are 4 entrances to the market and the Ben’s Cookies shop is a popular selling unit here.
