The Plymouth Hoe monument shows the arms of Sir Francis as the quartered old and new arms. There are also other soldier names, designation, address and age on this beautiful monument. This monument is also the scene where Sir Francis Drake’s apocryphal game of bowls was initiated prior to his capture on the Spanish Armada in the year 1588. This is a must visit historic building while in Plymouth.
