The Prysten House Museum is the second oldest house in Plymouth and was built in 1498. It is one of the finest limestones building which is built with granite doors and window frames. It has a galleried courtyard too. Previously, it was a swelling house, a wine store, a warehouse and a bacon factory too.  At present it is used with the adjoined Abbey hall for accommodating youth groups.
