Letterboxing is a fun filled outdoor game which involves a large number of people looking for clues of letterboxes. This recreational activity is done in many places in England.
The organizers of the letterboxes place various clues in some public places. These public places can be gardens, museums or even amusement parks.
The people participating in the game have to search for the clues which lead them to the letterbox. The letterboxes generally hold a rubber stamp and a visitor’s book.
When the hunters find the letterbox, they make a stamp on the book. This stamp represents that they have found the book. This also facilitates them to recognize the letterboxes, which they have already found.
The hunters can use their personal stamps to make a mark on the visitors book. The game of letterboxing helps the new visitors to locate various attractions in the city.
