D- Day Museum is the only museum in Britain which is dedicated solely to cover all aspects of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France in 1944. Queen Elizabeth opened this museum in 1984. The centerpiece of this museum is magnificent 83 meters lengthy overlord embroidery. The museum also has its own unique and dramatic film shows. It includes ample archive of material aspects of D – Day like original documents, sound recordings of the veteran’s reminiscences, their memoirs and other witnesses to D- Day events.
