The National Football Museum displays several artefacts from the football world and one can have an interactive experience in the galleries here.
The Harris Library is located in the heart of the city and has a wide collection of audio as well as video material which can be viewed by visitors. There are a number of exhibitions held here from time to time.
14th/20th King’s Hussars Museum has a collection of articles from the history of the King Hussars Regiment including medals, documents, photos, costumes as well as weapons.
Hoghton tower, which is built on a hill six hundred and fifty feet above sea level, was the ancestral home of the Hoghton family. There is a lot to see inside the building such as the ballroom, the King’s antechamber, the Tudor well house, the wine cellar, dungeons and underground passages.
The Ribchester Roman Museum, which was founded by Margaret Greenhall in 1915, has a number of archaeological findings related to the Roman era. There are exhibits of tools, weapons, coins and pottery in the museum.
