Tourist Guide Queensbury
Queensbury is a village in the borough of the highly metropolitan Bradford region in West Yorkshire. This town is perched a little above the rest and is placed at a point between the township of Clayton and Thorton. It is considered to be one of the highest parishes of England. The name Queensbury is often associated with the ever famous Black Dyke Band.
The name Queensbury was earlier known as Queenshead. The origin of this name has a different and never-heard of story. There was a local pub by that name and the town was named after the pub’s name. The climate is nothing special to be talked about but it enjoys a serene and cool type of climate which is very well favored by the local residents as well as the outsiders. The villages of Clayton Heights and the Horton Bank top are some important parts of this town. Ambler Thorne, Catherine Slack, Little Moor are some of the other hamlets. It enjoys the presence of a well developed and good trade with cities in its surrounding.
