The Museum of Reading is situated in the Old Town Hall in Reading. The museum has a number of galleries which describe the history of the locality and its industries such as the Windows Gallery, John Madejski Art gallery, Bayeux Gallery, Huntley & Palmers Gallery and more. The museum has a collection of art, a copy of the Bayeux tapestry, a gallery of artifacts from the excavations of the Silchester Roman town namely Calleva Atrebatum and other decorative pieces.
