The Royal Botanic Kew Gardens provide visitors with acres of gardens and glasshouses with unusual plants to be visited. There is a children sized aquarium exhibit and also the largest flagpole in the UK situated in the garden grounds.
Queen Charlotte’s Cottage was once used by the Royal family as a cool summer house. Entry to the cottage is through the 300 acre Kew Gardens with tropical glasshouses and cool glades.
Hampton Court Park, with a history of over 500 years, offers visitors outstanding State Apartments as well as the reality of Tudor kitchens. The tour is accompanied by costumed guides and audio commentary. Special events take place throughout the year.
The Maze, a world famous hedge maze, attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Richmond also has attractions like the National Physical Laboratory, Twickenham Stadium and the WWT London Wetlands Centre.
