Rochdale's city contain a number of landmarks such as, in 1871 William Henry designed the Town Hall of Rochdale which has a 240 feet clock of original tower as in 1883 it was damaged by fire. The beautiful river Roch flows in front of the town hall while a 1460 feet wide bridge was constructed in Europe for pavements and road. St Chad is the famous Parishian Church, which directly overlooks the Town Hall.
The people in the city play a number of games such as football. The Spotland Stadium is one such popular venue in the city. The city has a number of golf courses. The Central Lancashire League is the stadium used for the cricket club to practise for their matches. For transportation in the city, people use the bus and rail services. Today Rochdale is a primarily known as a residential town.
