There are a number of entertainment venues in downtown Rutland. The Paramount Theater previously known as Rutland Playhouse was built in 1913 and now has been renovated to include several musical and dance performances all through the year. This Victorian style theater has fabrics adorning its walls and gold leaf decorating its ceilings. Top performers such as Will Rogers and Ethel Barrymore have been giving regular performances at this theater.
