A prominent attraction is the Rutland Railway Museum, also known as Cottesmore Iron Ore Mines Sidings. The museum is dedicated to the collection and display of industrial economies, ancient dumpers and more.
The Tolethope Hall in Rutland is the former residence of the Browne family. The hall and the gardens are the site of outdoor Shakespearian theatre. The place consists of auditoriums and open-air stages which host Shakespeare plays from the Stamford Shakespeare Company every summer.
Another interesting location to visit is the Rutland Water which is the largest reservoir in England. This artificial lake supplies water in the densely populated regions of England and is famous for activities like fishing, walking, sailing and cycling.
