There are many parkland areas within Sheffield: Peace Gardens, which is laid with grassy lawns and beautiful fountains of different shapes and sizes; the Winter Gardens, a conservatory home to some exotic species of plants; and the Victorian-style Sheffield Botanical Gardens, located just outside the city.
The Tudor Square is the cultural and entertainment hub of the city. It is home to three theatres: the Lyceum theatre, distinguished by its grand arches; the Crucible Theatre, which apart from supporting the city’s theatre scene is also the venue of the World Snooker Championships; ... More and the Library Theatre, which hosts many local productions.
The Peak District, criss-crossed with walking and cycling trails and dotted with picturesque villages and towns, is easily accessed from the city. Sheffield is the ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, a gentle countryside and dramatic moorlands.

Sheffield is located in Yorkshire County, north of England. This town of approximately 520,700 inhabitants is also home to a large student population owing to the two universities founded here.
Sheffield has a fairly extreme climate. July and August are the warmest months with the average temperature at 22°C. During winter, the average temperature is 7°C, but occasionally it may fall below the freezing point.
Sheffield is located within valleys surrounded by seven hills and watered by several streams and rivers. It is this ideal location that made Sheffield a prosperous town, ... More first, due to agriculture and then, the Industrial Revolution.
It is often referred to as the ‘Antiques Capital of the Berkshires’ because of the large volumes of antique trade conducted here.

I am from India. I had the opportunity of staying in Sheffield for a short period and I loved the place. I had to face a big disappointment. I was offered a job guarantee in Sheffield by the sheffield city council. I reached Sheffield and found that I did not have a job and had to come back to India. It was a highly depressing situation but nevertheless I love Sheffield.

Sheffield is fabulous, just need to bring the centre back to life with shops, why oh why did Labour allow all the building at Meadowhell, we are now suffering for it, but with Tramlines and Sheffest it is starting to change slowly.
