The origin of the name Solihull is came from the word dirty or muddy as the town used to be muddy after the rains.

This is a large town and is located at the heart of England. The town has witnessed the growth of trade and commerce which led to its prosperity.

Solihull is a part of the West Midland Conurbation. It lies to the southeast of Birmingham City, approximately 9 miles away. The town has a population of 94,753 roughly.

The Solihull motto is ‘Urbs in Rure’ refers to Town in the country. The breathtaking countryside is one of the best features of England. The culture of the town has nurtured many creative talents of actors and authors. It has been home to many well known artists.

The town is also famous for its historic architecture of Tudor style houses. The churches are a good example of British Church Architecture. The economy is based on industry and commerce with buzzing shopping arcades and industrial units like the Tudor Mint and the Land Rover Plant.

The climate is temperate and humid. The River Blythe passes through parts of the town and the Malvern and Jonathan Parks and boasts of a thriving wildlife.
