Southampton Solent University is a public university which has its main campus at the East Park Terrace which is near the center of the city. The university has approximately seventeen thousand students including undergraduates and postgraduates. It provides excellent maritime courses as well as law, media and cultural studies, fine art, films, applied research in design and more. The three main faculties at the university are Faculty of Technology, Southampton Business School and Faculty of Media, Arts and Society.
