The maritime climate of a seaside town adds to the aura of Southport.

Also known as the Golf capital of England, every aspect of this city is beautiful.

The town is located on the Irish Sea Coast within the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton in Merseyside in the North West of England.

It lies to the north of Liverpool and to the south west of Preston.

The population of the town is close to 100,000.

The striking feature of the town is its tree plantation which was laid out by the Hesketh Family in the 19th century.

The vast expanse of sand dunes between Birkdale and Woodvale are preserved by the National Nature Reserves of England and is a conserved Wetland.

It’s home to sand lizards and natterjack toads. An interesting anecdote is that Napoleon Bonaparte lived on Lord Street during his exile in 1846 and 1848.

The town displays stately Victorian architecture and planning.

It has a rich taste in culture and the finest of talents have been nurtured here though a highly motivating artistic and literary environment.
