Stafford lies in the north of West Midlands region and is in the county of Staffordshire.

The town has an intriguing historical timeline. The name of the town means a landing place for a huge army. The origin of human habitat in this region of large marshlands, meadows and farmland could be traced back to as early as the  9th century.

The town of Stafford has been a centre for industrial development starting from pottery to shoemaking and is currently one of the leading electric engineering sections with companies such as Siemens, Alstom and Areva in the region.

The borough of Stafford covers an area of 598.17 Sq km with an approx population of 123,000. The population has approximately 97 % whites. The constructive and elite culture of the town gave the world many authors, entrepreneurs’ players, comedians and artists.

The motto is Stafford Knot, which means the Knot Unites. The region has a temperate climate with warm wet summers and cool wet winters.
