Stobswood: Attractions and more...
The special attractions of the place are the Druridge Bay County Park which is one of the gardens of northern Umber land and Stobswood. The place has a very old railway station which is a visitor’s attraction.
Another visiting place which is situated near Spotswood is the Morpeth Courthouse. Stobswood has Britain’s largest coal mining company, where there is a mining museum called Durham mining museum in Stobswood Colliery. The village also boasts of a handsome sport files on it outskirts, which faces a railway track and the huge chimneys of the former brickworks. The Stobswoods Girls travel softball program participates in an extramural league in conjuction with at least 5 other area towns. Football, baseball and basketball are the some of the games played in the village and there is a club here called Stobswood Soccer Club.
