General opinion:  Stratford-upon-Avon, a market town steeped in culture and history, is set in South Warwickshire, England. The city is well-known as the birthplace of the famous poet and playwright William Shakespeare and has a populace of about 25,000 people. It is among the most popular towns in England for its charming streets and Shakespearean culture.

The origins ... More of the town can be traced back to the Anglo-Saxon period and has grown as a market town. In recent times, the tourism industry has developed with aluminium ware, construction and insurance being the other major employers.
