Tourist Guide Stretford
Stretford is a town situated inside the Trafford of Metropolitan Borough which is in the state of Greater Manchester of England country. The city lies near the River Mersey and the canal of the Manchester Ship. The city had a population of 37,455 as per the 2001 census. The climate of Stratford normally has an average rainfall and sunshine which is slightly below the UK temperature.
After the 19th century the town had begun its industrial development in the Industrial Estate of Trafford Park which is in the northern area of the town. Basically the town is famous for an agricultural village by name of Porkhampton. Manchester market is the largest market in the town surrounded by a green gardening area. The name of the city was founded due to the river Mersey which lies across the ford and Stretford Main Street.
