Salvation Army is a Christian charity church which was started in 1865 by William Booth. There are 2 major shopping complexes which include the Times Square and St. Nicholas Centre which also has a cinema nearby.

Grove Park is a public park with its Leoni Bridge, the cascade, the Grove house, the upper mill and a number of recreational areas as well such as the children’s playground, the bowling green, a miniature golf, a ball court and a cafeteria.
Carshalton is another public park in the region with a bowling green, a ‘Hog Pit’ pond and the Grotto. For recreation, the parks provides 5 tennis courts and a children’s playground. In the month of June a Carshalton carnival is held at the park.
