Tourist Guide Urmston
Urmston has early medieval origins. This town was a small farming community until railways was introduced in 1873. The railway acted as a catalyst and transformed the town to a residence for the middle class. At present, the town is one of the main urban areas within Trafford and includes areas like Flixton and Davyhulme.
Urmston occupies an area of 7.5 square miles and is about 137 feet above the sea level at its highest point. The land is relatively flat and slopes gently from north to south.
Generally the climate of this town is temperate having few extremes of temperature. The town experiences Annual rainfall and average sunshine which are slightly below the average point.
